i am your salt-shakah-balancing friend

i am your salt-shaker-balancing friend and this is "The Greatest Show on Earth!!"
nobody would believe me that i could balance a salt-shaker on a single salt crystal..
until last night.. toouk!!!

i lost to a BET on 100 shut up's in 3 weeks. my colleagues rejoiced when i blurted out my 100th shut up last Monday. unfortunately, i had to take them all out for some hooters and wings... pure fun, these guys! lucky for me, not all of them were able to come! wahaha.. we were about to go home after some talk on life per se.. then i started playing with the salt-shaker... ^_~

it is both mind-blowing and idiotic at the same time.

the kare kare challenge

it didn't take long for my three friends in persuading me to cook a traditional Filipino dish for them. i couldn't think of any other dish to WOW these boys except for Kare Kare. any Filipino would agree, it's not a fiesta without Kare Kare and bagoong.

modesty aside, my kare kare was delicious! ^_^

left to right:
Florentin Traista (Romanian);
Francois Beaupre (French);
Michele Laurito (Italian)

after a very successful lunch expedition, we intend to continue on with this cultural experience. each of us will prepare a dish, native to where we are from.

***
for those who are not familiar with Kare Kare..
it is a rich stew of beef (or ox tail), tripe (optional) and a variety of vegetables (bok choy/string beans/eggplant/banana flower) in a sauce flavored and thickened with roasted ground peanuts (peanut butter is just as good! this is what i use)

"it's funny how things work out."

i asked God for a sign..
there was a lot on my mind.

i put graffiti on a Korean restaurant's wall.. hehehe

went to new york today, at the end of the day we went to bubba gump's shrimp factory and i received a sign. it was on a round table and right in front of me was this scribble on the surface.. (i wonder if all the tables are like that... hehehe)
